BackgroundThere are lots of stray cats roaming the streets of Japan. But among those strays, some are pets that just got lost. How do you know if the animal you see in front of you is a stray, a lost pet, or a pet on a stroll?
InsightGoogle Pixel owners will collaborate to find lost pets together, using their smartphone’s image recognition technology.
SolutionA open database on which to register your lost pet, so that when someone sees a cat (or a dog or a bird) in the street, all they have to do is use their Pixel’s Google Lens to know if it is lost. With 99%+ match, the owner receives a phone call, so that the person who found the pet can pick it up, or at least keep an eye on it until the owner shows up.
